Tunç Üvendire 1966 İstanbul doğumlu... Deniz Lisesi ve Deniz Harp okulunda okudu ve Harp okulunu bitirmeden donanmadan ayrıldı. Reklâm sektöründe çalıştı. 1989 da İstanbul büyük şehir hayatını bırakıp Kaş'a yerleşti ve esnaflık yaptı. Aynı yıl fotoğrafa başladı. Eşi ile kendisinin karma fotoğraflarının sergilendiği İpekyolu/ Silkroad adlı bir fotoğraf galerileri ve Türkiye'den Çin'e ipek yolu'ndaki gezilerinden toplanmış etnik tekstil, takı ve dekoratif antik eşyalardan oluşan bir dükkânları var. İFSAK üyesidir.

Born in Istanbul 1966... After having his education in naval high school and The Naval Academy, he left Marine forces before graduating the academy. Worked in advertising, creating promotional marketing projects... He left Istanbul metropolitan city life, moved to Kas in 1989 and earned his life by trading. He started photography the same year. He is a member of İFSAK (Istanbul Photography and Cinema Amateurs Club). He owns with his wife a photograph gallery called İpekyolu/Silkroad that exhibits their mixed photographs and a shop which sells collected ethnic textiles, jewellery, artefacts and antique handicrafts from their travels on the silk road from Turkey to China.
